Your credit card will be charged for the full amount of your booking at the time the reservation is made. This payment is processed through the secure Windcave payment system. The name that will appear on your statement will be Distinction Dunedin Hotel. Any credit card details stored for payments are done so on the Windcave system. No credit card information is stored by us and Windcave protects personal information – at a minimum – to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI-DSS”).
All rates are in NZ dollars and are on a per night basis including GST. Distinction Hotels will not reimburse adverse fluctuations due to foreign exchange.

Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made. No refunds are permitted on accommodation bookings. In the case where cancellation or amendment of a booking is required, the full quoted amount of the reservation will be charged. Guests requiring alternative accommodation dates will need to rebook, no amendments/transfers permitted. A maximum of 2 rooms can be booked on Stay & Save and Weekend Getaway rates. Please note these Stay & Save and Weekend Getaway rates are not valid for events & conferences.
FLEXI FREE CANCELLATION RATES, FLEXI BED & BREAKFAST FREE CANCELLATION RATES
Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made, however you may amend or cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival and a full refund will be issued upon cancellation. In the case of a no show or a cancellation inside 24 hours, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded.
PACKAGE RATES (EXCLUDING WEEKEND GETAWAY RATES & ALL BLACKS V ENGLAND PACKAGE)
Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made, however you may amend or cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival and a full refund will be issued upon cancellation. In the case of a no show or a cancellation inside 24 hours, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded. Unused package components are non refundable.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT POLICY
Check in time is 3pm at Distinction Dunedin Hotel, 6 Liverpool Street, Dunedin. If earlier check in time is required please request this at the time of booking.
Check out time is before 10am (Mon-Fri) or before 11am (Sat-Sun). If a late checkout is required please request from Reception when you check in at hotel. Early check-ins and late checkout’s are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Management / Reception Staff.
CHILDREN POLICY
Children’s age is 12 years and under.
PARKING
Distinction Dunedin offers guests parking in the hotel's on-site carpark at a cost of $25 per day from your arrival until 12pm on the day of your departure. Parking beyond 12pm on the day of your departure will incur an additional charge. Please contact us or enquire at reception about the additional charges.
